CANFORD MAGNA CHURCHES - MISSION TO ROMANIA
The main purpose of this newsletter is to thank everyone who has been praying for us this year; given generously towards our finances; or actually visited Reghin to help with the building of the new Selah school. It’s through your combined efforts that we’ve enjoyed such a successful year and we thank our God for his guiding hand upon us at all times. The finishing touches are now being put to the school so it will be completed ahead of schedule and “open for business “ very shortly.
As I mentioned last time, there is to be an official opening in just six weeks, Wednesday 8 February, and eight of our people will be attending that ceremony.
The following dates for probable working visits in 2017 have now been agreed:
and 23-30 September.
Our primary effort will be repairing more family homes and possibly building completely new ones, as we’ve done already, but work is also required on the Phoneo bible school and the new church building which they acquired back in September. There will also be numerous other opportunities to join in at Casa Ana and other children’s programs in Apalina. Phoneo also expect all sorts of new ideas to emerge during the year!
In February [watch this space!] we’ll be hosting an afternoon where you’ll be able to find out more but if you are seriously interested please don’t hesitate to get in touch with myself or Walter Meyer straightaway.
Maybe you’d like to get involved but can’t afford the time then read on:
We need more minibus drivers to take teams to/from Luton on Saturdays. It involves either an early start [2-30am!] and back home by about 9am or an evening run leaving here at about 4pm and returning at about 11-30pm. Any voluneers will be very welcome – the more the merrier!
Now on behalf of all the RAG team, we wish you a very Happy Christmas and a blessed New Year..
With every blessing
John Clift [01202 884043] 20 December 2016
