CANFORD MAGNA CHURCHES -  MISSION TO ROMANIA
 
Such a while since I last wrote and though things have now quietened down for us, August through to October  was a very busy time: 
 
The two teams that went to Reghin [12 persons in all] constructed play equipment for the new Selah school and didn’t they do well – see two examples below:  
                           
They made  several other items as well and their efforts have been much appreciated by Phoneo as they complete the final work on the building itself in readiness for its opening in just a few weeks’ time:    

It’s a really exciting time for everyone out there and as Walter reported when he returned on 1 October “there’s a real buzz in the air”.
 
There’s to be an official opening on 8 February and several from here are planning to go.  If anyone else is interested – you’d be very welcome – but please speak to any of the RAG team asap.
 
We were very thankful when everybody returned safely and at the dinner/dance held at St Barnabas’s on 8 October  we celebrated and welcomed nearly 80 guests who all say they had a very enjoyable time. That was the main aim of the evening but also to keep you up-to-date and raise some funds towards next year.  We were very successful on all counts and thank you so much to those who came – your support means so much to us. For those who weren’t able to be there or weren’t at the Lantern the following morning, please do have a look at the latest film produced by Dave Hobson.
